Now on to the series that I have fell in love with over a matter of a few days. The Grazi Kelly Series.

Book 1: Wolf Moon – https://www.amazon.com/Wolf-Moon-Grazi-Kelly-Novel-ebook/dp/B00IS0WW5A?ie=UTF8&ref_=asap_bc#navbar

Book one is where we first meet Grazi (that’s a given). My thoughts about Grazi is she’s a very beautiful young woman who deserves to get the answers to the questions she has. (For the record, I want to strangle her cousin  Julianna). When Ronan (an Irish Werewolf) enters the picture I’m immediately smitten with him and think to myself, “Who’s Sebastian?” lol. The rest of the series is about Grazi as she discovers how to live her life as a “Teen Wolf.” Oh and to mention her uncle is not only a Father in the Catholic church, but a werewolf as well…

Book 2: Hunter Moon – https://www.amazon.com/Hunter-Moon-Grazi-Kelly-Novel-ebook/dp/B00N5WF13Q/ref=pd_sim_351_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=515pmUGWjtL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_UX300_PJku-sticker-v7%2CTopRight%2C0%2C-50_OU01_AC_UL320_SR200%2C320_&psc=1&refRID=CEHKP1YHHDS6VPD4CRG7#navbar

So, book two. In book two, we find Grazi, Ronan, Sebastian, and Julianna at Prom. We find Ronan’s desire to keep Grazi safe and help her discover the answers to her questions. Not only is she a Werewolf, but she’s a Dreamwalker as well. In Hunter Moon they go through every means necessary to discover her powers as well as how she can shift whenever she wants.

Book 3: Rebel Moon – https://www.amazon.com/Rebel-Moon-Grazi-Kelly-Novel-ebook/dp/B00XLUF1SC/ref=pd_sim_351_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=5126psOVT3L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_UX300_PJku-sticker-v7%2CTopRight%2C0%2C-50_OU01_AC_UL320_SR214%2C320_&psc=1&refRID=ZC3HHZM5WX7E6KBMX6GW#navbar

Oh to be a rebel. In Rebel Moon, Grazi continues her quest for answers and ends up battling witches, vampires, and demons. Also in Rebel Moon, we learn that Nonna Rosa is dangerously close to losing her house. In hopes to help her grandmother out, Grazi wants to use some of her trust fun to take care of the back taxes that are owed. The tough part for me was when she was given the ultimatum of either turning herself in to the witches or lose those whom she loves. We also discover that her mother and baby brother are in fact alive.

Book 4: Winter Moon – https://www.amazon.com/Winter-Moon-Grazi-Kelly-Novel-ebook/dp/B01BFMJK9I/ref=pd_sim_351_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=513TT0CSfaL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_UX300_PJku-sticker-v7%2CTopRight%2C0%2C-50_OU01_AC_UL320_SR200%2C320_&psc=1&refRID=2DA418V45N7DGJ0D3BKT#navbar

Winter Moon: Gypsies…erm…Romani to the rescue. Thank you Less! We also discover that Grazi’s beloved friend Angela is a “White Witch.” In book four, is the big battle that we keep reading about in books 1-3. Does Grazi succeed and save her baby brother? You have to read and find out. Also, you have to read to see what happens because she chose to fight evil.

Yes, I am aware that I gave a little bit away about each book, but I wanted to make some of you curious as to what else happens in each book. I’ve included the links for the books on Amazon so you can go and purchase them.

C.D. Gorri has 2 other series out but they all somehow tie into Grazi. Those are Macconwood Pack and Angela Tanner File. Each series is set in New Jersey where Ms. Gorri calls home.

Please check out her links, follow her, and buy her books. Also, if you read the books, please leave her a review. I know she’d greatly appreciate it. Below is a picture of how I see Grazi.

Grazi Kelly

It’s been a while

So yeah, I do not do well with remembering to blog. Life has been hectic and I do not forsee it getting any easier on me in the near future. Between being sick, not wanting to eat, and just every day stress, I’m barely able to stay calm anymore.

So what has me so stressed?

My therapist I see normally twice a month went on vacation and I can’t see her until next week to do our talk session. Boy I can’t wait.

I’ve been fussed at for NOT stepping up to help out around the house…um, hello… I’ve been sick since July 1st.

My parents don’t understand my anxiety about job interviews and such. My heart is racing at the mere thought of job interviews/fairs.

Well, I gotta finish getting ready for my appointment that is in less than an hour. I will try to do another blog this afternoon about a wonderful author I’m reading.

Book Reviews

When you read a book whether it is on a reading device or a paper back (said to include hardback books as well), leave a review for the author. You can leave it on any social media site, or even on Amazon US, Amazon UK, and Goodreads if the book is on any of those sites.

With that being said, one of my beautiful author friends, Leaona Luxx by name is having a problem with Amazon pulling reviews from her debut novel Cherry Grove.

Here are the links for Cherry Grove:

Amazon US: https://www.amazon.com/Cherry-Grove-Cove-Leaona-Luxx/dp/1533446431/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1467593593&sr=8-1&keywords=Cherry+Grove

Amazon UK (for the UK followers): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cherry-Grove-Cove-Book-1-ebook/dp/B01HFJWUVA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1467593677&sr=8-1&keywords=Cherry+Grove

Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30249025-cherry-grove?ac=1&from_search=true

If you have a moment, please purchase the book, read it, and leave a review for Ms. Leaona. I know she’d appreciate all the reviews that she can get.

Her links are:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/leaonaluxxauthorbooks/?fref=ts

Twitter: https://twitter.com/search?q=Leaona%20Luxx&src=typd

From now on, don’t be surprised if you see book reviews on my blog.

Back up and at ’em

So sorry that it’s been so long since my last post. I am pretty horrible about keeping track of these things. So, what’s been going on in my world? Well, aside from the usual health problems of arthritis and headaches, not much. Our A/C went out for about a week but it’s back up and running as of yesterday afternoon.

I’ve got so many things that I want to do, but that’s going to take a while because of my inability to stay focused on one thing at a time. For instance, as I’m writing this, I’m also paying half attention to one of my all time favorite crime shows…Criminal Minds.

I was going to share one of the people that I follow on Facebook, but I can’t make up my mind on who I want to share, I have 4 cover models that I follow as well as numerous authors. I can’t even tell you how many books I have to read and then leave reviews for because I’m constantly winning them in events (not bad actually), or buying them (whether it’s with the gc’s…erm…gift cards, or freebies that I find on Amazon).

I guess I can share a picture of the guys I follow and their links…but I’ll save it for another blog.

Monday morning…Not so Blue

Well, it’s my not favorite day of the week…Monday. But hey, it would’ve come whether I wanted it to or not. How are y’all doing?

Today I wanted to feature one of the beautiful writers that I’ve been following and reading.

Her name is Gloria Herrmann and she’s the author of the Cloverleaf Series and she’s got a couple other books that are either in the works are out already.

Her links are:

FB (to friend): https://www.facebook.com/GloriaHerrmannAuthor?fref=ts

Twitter: https://twitter.com/GloriaIsWriting

FB (Author Page): https://www.facebook.com/AuthorGloriaHerrmann/?fref=ts

Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Gloria-Herrmann/e/B0164FKSO2/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1?qid=1464005902&sr=1-1

Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/14433930.Gloria_Herrmann

Those are just some of her links. She’s got some groups up on facebook that I know she’d love for you to check out.

The Cloverleaf series is about a group of Irish brothers and their sister as they find love through various obstacles in their lives.

Loving Liam is the  first book in the series and it is where I fell in love with Gloria’s writing and the O’Brien family. I love Liam to death. But I also love Rachel. Rachel defies her parents wishes (yes, she is an adult) and she goes to a small town in the PNW (Pacific North West) to become the principal of a smaller school. Little did she know that she would eventually fall in love with one of the teachers at her school.

Maggie’s Marriage is next. We first meet Maggie in Loving Liam and I have to say, to have a sort of connection with the main character, I didn’t connect. That connection is the unsure, confused, want what’s best for everyone else first then worry about myself, and finally, afraid of being hurt. This book takes us on the journey of a couple trying to save their marriage for the sake of themselves as well as for their two children.

Patrick’s Promise is third. I’m working on this one so I’ll give a brief summary and move on to #4 which will be out this summer. Anyway, Patrick is struggling with raising a set of twins after losing his wife (she died while having the twins). This book takes us on a journey with Patrick as he struggles to accept the love of another woman and we’ll see if he can find it in his heart to love another woman.

Book #4 will be about Daniel and it’s coming out this summer so I’ll blab about it once I am able to get my hands on it.

Before I forget, here is Gloria’s actual website if you want to check it out.

If you friend/like her on FB, tell her Brittany highly recommended that you check her works out.

Sunday’s Note

Having bipolar disorder isn’t fun, we’ve established that. But knowing that you are manic and not feeling well doesn’t make it easier.

With today being Sunday, it’s that time of the week where a front must be put up for a few hours and pretend that everything is peachy keen. Or at least that’s what it seems like to me. Since the diagnosis was confirmed that I have BPD, I hate going out on some days and when it seems like I don’t have much of a choice, that makes it more stressful in a way because of everyone looking at me. I HATE being in the spotlight or being looked at (if that makes sense).

When I say I hate being looked at, it’s paranoia to a degree. I’m constantly worrying about what people think about me and wondering if they are making fun of me because of how I look or the way I’m dressed.

Les Brown - 1

I included a quote from Les Brown because it’s true and it’s something that I struggle to remember on a day to day basis. Yes, being paranoid can drive a person insane, but it can be helped. Why should someone else’s opinion of me matter when the only person I should be worried about is myself. Yes, I’m over weight and yes, I have medical issues. Life isn’t perfect no matter who you are or how much money you have to your name.

If you want your life to FEEL perfect, be happy with who you are, how you look, and with what you have to your name. People will come and go throughout your life and the only constant is God and the fact that He loves you no matter what.

Ok, I mentioned in my intro post that I started a WP (wordpress) so that I could be able to follow some authors around and keep an eye on what they are doing. I’m also dabbling in writing. No, I’m not published yet…before you ask. I’m not doing it seriously yet…I’ll start something and then I’ll either combine it with something else or just scrap it entirely. The only bad thing about me writing is I tend to over think….big time.

When I write, I tend to think too much about the material things (clothes, jewelry, etc) instead of focusing on just writing about the character and his/her story. But I have found out that I’m not the only one who does that so that makes me feel a little better. My current work in progress (WIP) hasn’t jumped to the forefront of my mind in a while, but that’s fine. If you try to force yourself to write, nothing good will come of it. I also need to try to focus on the setting (location), and stuff like that instead of worrying about what my characters will be wearing and what not. But the good thing, I guess you can say is I can also use my photography (another post for another time…I promise) to help inspire my writing…that means getting my butt into gear and going on adventures with my camera.

Who knows…I might do feature blogs on a picture…just watch this blog…

First blog post

I guess you can say I started this blog so I can follow authors as well as have a way to get my feelings out as I struggle with the very real problem of bipolar disorder. Being a person who struggles to get their feelings out, it may come across as I am whining or complaining about things…I’m not.

Anyway, a little about me. I’m 26 years old and I live in the NE Georgia mountains where I was pretty much born and raised. I’m the youngest of two girls, but if we are counting pets, I am the middle child. We adopted a 1/2 Australian shepherd, 1/2 Husky back in 2003 when she was 8 weeks old. 13 years later and she’s not the runt like she was when she was a puppy. She’s 61 pounds now and she’s having problems due to arthritis and skin allergies. I have an AAS (Associates in Applied Science) in Environmental Horticulture and that alone took me longer than it should have because I was the typical brand new college student and couldn’t make up my mind on what I wanted to study. Yes, that means I could get a job that requires me playing in the dirt, but that’s another story for another time…maybe.

Bipolar disorder. What is life with the disease? Is it really a disease? Can I manage several things all at once while battling it? Why don’t people understand that it’s a daily struggle with it? Are they going to judge me when they find out I have it? Will they decide I’m not “perfect” enough for them? You see, those are just a few questions that run through my head from time to time when I start thinking about it. Let’s get this straight, bipolar disorder (or bpd as I’ll start calling it) is nothing to take lightly. Nor can it be faked. That’s the thing, people don’t truly understand it. Hell, I don’t understand it myself, but I know that it’s real.

Here’s the true definition of bpd from the Mayo Clinic: Bipolar disorder, formerly called manic depression, causes extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression). When you become depressed, you may feel sad or hopeless and lose interest or pleasure in most activities. When your mood shifts in the other direction, you may feel euphoric and full of energy. Mood shifts may occur only a few times a year or as often as several times a week. Although bipolar disorder is a disruptive, long-term condition, you can keep your moods in check by following a treatment plan. In most cases, bipolar disorder can be controlled with medications and psychological counseling (psychotherapy).

Since being diagnosed with BPD in December of last year (2015), because of reasons that I’ll save for another time (maybe), I’ve been trying to understand it. I’m getting help through medication and counseling, but I still have days that are worse than others…but who doesn’t have days like that even without having BPD. When I am manic, I’m super fidgety and I ramble…a lot. The bad thing is, my parents get so impatient with me when I’m in manic mode that it just upsets me…chalk another one up for them as to how to get under my skin. Heaven help when I’m in a low depression…that’s not fun either.

Life goes on as we all must. I’ll do another blog later, I promise. Then we’ll talk about happier stuff. x
